Been Reading too much to the 6year old.

So Kensley is learning to read. Which is great, however I am spending much time having to help her with this process. I can almost recite some classic beginner reader books by heart. However today, I came up with a new one.

ON THE RIVER:

On the night before Matts big fishing day, he looks up rivers on google maps far far away.
Then morning comes, today is the day Matt will go to the rivers far far away.
He packs his pole, he checks his snacks he kisses me goodbye, 6AM he is off at last.
He picks up his friend in his little black truck, they are off to Wyoming going up, up, up.
They look around but they can't find their wives and children they've left far behind.
When will they return? It's hard to say. They took the day off to fish anyway.
Now their speeding fast to find the right place, they are out in the middle of no where. Two
fishing buddies and Matts little black truck.
Up Ahead! It's a Wyoming Cop! Will they have to slow down or turn on more power?
They will get to the River they will! they must! Their slogan is "TO FISH OR BUST!
The Wyoming cop is behind them now. It nothing more than a "slow down warning".
Matt begins to wonder when his fly rod will touch the river soon.
Then up ahead, It's there! The River! Buckle up tight they'll be fishing soon.
Fishing they are fishing in a snow bank river. They said they would and they said they must.
They made it to the river and they did not bust!
Down onto the old river they step in with pride Two fishing buddies and cold water running wild.
Now they have many new flys they want to try and new fly rod tricks, but first they look around for a great place to fish.
Then the sound of the fly goes whipping in the air.
They take mental notes of good fishing holes and try their skill in a catch and release with new rod and reel.
Then they try some new angles and dangles and fly line tricks. Flipping your rod can make your Fly's fly High!
Now it's time to get moving and explore the river walking 10 miles to nowhere forever.
Two fishing buddies it's getting dark, time to pack up. Time to go home, but where is there truck?
Will they find the little black truck? Will it start up in the dark cold? Will Matt and his friend be able to return home?
If the two fishing buddies use their boy scout skills, they will return. They will! They will!... (but just maybe after one more try at this fishing hole)
Two fishing buddies found the truck, Their all packed up, on their way back home from a long fishing trip.
To his friends home town and to being pulled over again. This time, his friend knows just where to get the info out of the glove box.
Then home to his sleeping family safe and sound!
Back in his House Matt kisses his wife, "Wow!" He says that was quite a trip!
Now Matt looks up at his new Fly Rod, very very new and fast action. Will he get to go again?
Well, He may ... Someday (but this time the friend drives!)

Oopsie!

What a waste of a week. I have had a headache since Monday. So Finally Friday I decided to go to the doctor. On the way home I got pulled over. The police officer told me he pulled me over because when I turned left on the road I had a red arrow. WHAT! I new for a fact is was not read because I hurried through the light because red lights make my head pound worse. So I told him it was a "Very Stale Orange"! I looked him straight in the eye and I was not backing down. Well, he tried to educate me on how the light work and then just let me go. It wasn't until later that day that my headache felt much better that I told my co-worker what happened. He said, "You told the officer that it was a "Very Stale Orange" light and he did not give you a ticket?" Oh my! Your Right! The light was Yellow! Oppsie! I felt so dumb! But glad the officer must have known I truly believed it in my heart and did not make me walk the line! He probably sensed I was not having a great day:)
